I try to keep a certain fluidity of approach in my work. To make a record that is somewhere between one's feeling about and the appearance of the trees.
Working on pictures through the seasons amongst the Hills and Holes, I draw trees growing and dying encrusted in mould by the weather. My pictures develop slowly according to the needs of the canvas using colour to resonate suggestions and moods.
